The Final part
Tel
Aviv – April 1, 2008 - At the start of the celebrations of Israel’s 60th year, a master class and hair styling show was held on March 24, 2008 in Tel Aviv, led by an international group of leading hair stylists. The huge event was a special project of the Motie Rubin Salon and Academy, one of the premier names in hair styling in Israel and world wide.
The participants who helped contribute to the success of the event are none other than:
• Elena Baklushina, representing the Dolores Academy in Moscow. She is the chief trainer for Russia in hair styling and is one of the members of the judging panel of the World Championships held by OMC.
• Motie and Rafael Rubin of The Motie Rubin Hair Design Salon from Israel
• Hair stylists from the Spectrym Academy New York.
The event, sponsored by Indola, was a meeting place for the world of high fashion and hair design and took place at the Land of Israel Museum in Tel Aviv, Israel. The “World Stars of Hair Fashion Event” has become part of the long list of hair events influencing the culture of hair fashion in Israel and the world. This year’s event gathered the biggest talents in hair design from Russia, Europe, the United States and Israel and afforded a unique opportunity to experience their work methods, see the new trends in hair design and enjoy a hair show the likes of which has never been seen in Israel.
This huge fashion event, that has become an annual tradition in the field of hair design, took place for the second year in a row and again was not merely another hair show. It was a truly professional evening with enriching instruction and master classes taught on stage, where hair stylists from all over Israel learned step by step from the experts, and enjoyed the performance of the stylists from abroad showcasing their craft.
The event was one of the most complex and expensive events of its kind ever held in Israel. Aside from the hair spectacular, the event was opened by the Lana Band and was hosted by Valeria Polikova (Israel TV Channel 9) and Michael Loreal (M.L. Studio).
The director Daniel Binyamin and hair stylist Motie Rubin, who have directed numerous other hair events, created a spectacle combing three themes: biblical Egypt, traditional Japan and Russian-European glamour. Thirty models were styled to reveal the Spring Summer 2008 collections. Part of the success of the three themes was due to the work of makeup artists: Felix Stein that worked on the models from the Dolores Academy, Ilona Sherman who worked on the model fro the Motie Rubin Salon and Academy and Shlomit Langer who worked on the models from New York’s Spectrym Academy. The Egyptian and Roman inspired evening gowns were designed by Galia Lahav and Chameleon Studio.
In addition to Mr. Binyamin’s experience, he led a world class team of stage designers, lighting technicians and video artists that created an event in size and scale similar to those of London, Paris and Milan, all for one purpose – a world class Master Class
